Opportunities to Serve
Centreville Baptist operates a food pantry to serve the needy in our community. We collect non-perishable food and monetary donations year-round. We distribute boxes of food from the bus barn behind the church, normally on the last Saturday of each month (distribution days are different on months with holidays). During food distribution we share the Gospel and pray specifically for each person.
If you are interested in donating, please drop off your donations any Sunday morning or during office hours. If you would like to help distribute food and pray for people, we meet at the bus barn at 7:30am on distribution days. Everyone is welcome!
We are always in need of responsible adults who can help with our youth and children ministries. These are some ways you can help:
- Assist in the church kitchen on Wednesday evenings at 5:30pm preparing food and cleaning up
- Assist in Wednesday evening Bible study times by being present to provide extra supervision
- Host youth or children activities like pool parties, game night, etc.
- Volunteer to teach a class or be a substitute (teachers and substitutes must be church members)
Our nursery attendence is GROWING! This is a wonderful thing, but we need your help. Please consider volunteering occasionally in the nursery.
Do you enjoy meeting new people or visiting past acquantences? If so, our outreach team might be a great place for you to serve. The goal of this team is for groups of two or three people to go out into the community and share the love of God with our neighbors.
If you enjoy tech, and don't mind serving behind the scenes, we have a place for you. We need a few people who would be willing to train on and operate our sound system, presentation software, and video system during Sunday morning services and occasionally during special events.
If you are handy, or just don't mind hard work, we always have maintenance tasks that need to be done.
